Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this study was to develop teaching guidelines for deepening students' thinking in pediatric nursing practice. To this end, we identified practice situations that students often encounter that require instruction in the "integration of practice and theory," and after naming the phenomena, we then identified instructional methods to deepen students' thinking in those situations. Based on the above results, we developed "Guidelines for Teaching Pediatric Nursing Practice. The use of this guideline enabled new faculty members to improve their teaching skills.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

小児看護学実習において学生が遭遇しやすい看護現象を明確に可視化した。その場面での学生の思考を深める指導の方法を提示したガイドラインはこれまでに出版されておらず、新人教員が早期に指導スキルを上げることが可能となる。また熟練教員も自己の指導を見直し機会となる。
教員にとって膨大な時間を費やしている実習指導を楽しく有意義な教育及び教育的意義を見出すことができる書籍となったと考える。
