Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aimed to clarify the current status of reluctance to attend nursery school and to examine support for children in early childhood and their working parents.
First, cooperation was sought from parents raising children attending nursery school, and interviews were conducted to clarify the current situation of reluctance to attend nursery school with questions such as, “Has your child ever been reluctant to attend nursery school? If so, please tell us about the situation and how you came to notice it.” A scale that clarifies the current status of reluctance to attending nursery school was developed based on the results of these interviews and the results of existing research. An attempt was then made to investigate the reliability and validity of this scale. Future research will need to translate these results into support for children attending nursery school and their parents.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
