Outline of Annual Research Achievements

木分解と特殊木構造を利用した固定パラメータアルゴリズムの高速化手法および関連する問題の計算複雑性を研究し,今年度は主に以下の研究成果を得た.
・頂点インテグリティと呼ばれるグラフパラメータと木分解の関係を用い,様々な問題に対する固定パラメータ容易性を示した.扱った問題は,最大共通部分グラフ問題,容量付き頂点被覆問題,平等連結分割問題など,いままでほとんど有効な対処方法が知られていなかったほど難しい問題である.また,関連するバンド幅問題,グラフモチーフ問題,最小最大次数向き付け問題などの困難性の精密化も行った.
・有向グラフの部分グラフの遷移を研究し,特に有向グラフの部分有向木遷移問題が多項式時間で解けることを示した.無向グラフ上で定義される同様の問題はある意味自明な問題(常に遷移可能)であることが知られていたが,有向グラフ上で定義される問題では遷移不可能な場合がある.その特徴付けに成功し,それを利用したアルゴリズムを与えた.
・グラフ上の遷移問題で最もよく研究されている独立集合遷移問題を一般化した正則誘導部分グラフ遷移問題を提案した.この問題の計算量を解析し,独立集合遷移問題との違いを明らかにした.多くの場合はPSPACE完全であることが分かったが,いくつかの場合に対しての多項式時間アルゴリズムも与えた.
・ジャンピングブロック問題と呼ばれる遷移問題を提案し,一般の場合のPSPACE完全性や,幅が1や2などの非常に制限された場合のNP困難性を示した.
