Outline of Final Research Achievements

I conducted research on literature and resources related to sexual minorities both domestically and internationally, and also collected information on issues and difficulties in adjacent fields. Troubles in adjacent fields concerning LGBT were addressed, including mental disorders, developmental disabilities, and interpersonal relationship issues among women, and corresponding measures were summarized. Additionally, various issues related to LGBT were classified and organized, covering topics such as phobias, mental care, and coming out. Furthermore, a trial of mental health intervention using social networking services was conducted among university students. The research findings are diverse, and the task of summarizing them in a unified manner remains for the future.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

いわゆるLGBT理解増進法が制定・施行され、今後、具体的な実施計画が策定されていく。LGBTの支援や困難解決に関するノウハウはあまり蓄積がない。本研究の成果は、日本におけるLGBTの支援や困難解決の一助となり、時宜を得たものである。また、LGBTだけでなく、精神疾患、発達障害、民族的マイノリティ、障害者、女性などさまざまな社会的マイノリティに関連する課題解決にも波及効果が期待できる。
