Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
As per my research proposal, I have gathered data on entr’acte entertainment during the years in which Thomas Killigrew was active. In doing so, I have examined key sources such as play texts, prologues and epilogues, as well as critical secondary sources including The London Stage, 1660-1800 and Pepys’ diaries. In preparation for the next phase of the research project, I am purchasing academic texts related to the theatrical era represented by the actor-manager Thomas Betterton. I plan on presenting my research outcome once the section on Betterton’s age has been completed.
