Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The study has been going smoothly following the initial schedule. As presumed in the literature review and found in the trial test, collecting the survey data regarding female managers were difficult in the contexts of the current research, Korea and Japan. Also, the prolonged COVID 19 pandemic was an obstacle in terms of data collection. So, it took much time to collect data; however fortunately, I could collect enough data for the analysis and found interesting results from the analysis. The current findings are under the scrutiny to ensure their statistical validity.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The current findings were presented at the research seminar at the University of Tokyo and received constructive feedback. Based on the feedback on the practical contribution of the findings and the suggestion on the refined statistical analysis, the study is under the re-examination on the analysis and the theoretical and practical implications of the study. The manuscript is in progress and the completed work will be submitted to a journal related to diversity and international management. I hope to find a fruitful outcome from the current research.

Causes of Carryover |
The small amount of budget left is mainly due to the unexpected external circumstance, the COVID 19 pandemic. Because of the pandemic, the planned schedule of site visits and conference participations had to be cancelled; however, the budget assigned for those research activities has been well managed to collect quality data. So, the few budget left will be used properly and usefully for the publication of the research as scheduled.
