Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
As in the previous year, Covid made both research activities and participation in international academic events very difficult and a postponement of the project was sought and received for an additional year. During the year the previously mentioned book on Gender Violence with Emerald Publishing was completed and is now in final editing and due to be published in the Summer of 2022.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
4: Progress in research has been delayed.
Reason
As the study involves a comparison of an international policies, Covid-19 has created a major delay due to an inability to travel and interact with interview subjects.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Final research activities, including interviews and surveys are planned for August 2022 (Ireland), September 2022 or February 2023 (Thailand) and in Japan throughout the year. There will also be participation in at least two major conferences on gender violence ('Evil and Sexuality' in Prague, April 2022, and 'Gender Studies and Sexuality' in Dublin, July 2022) and at least one further academic paper on the subject is being written and due to be completed during 2022.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Due to Covid the project was postponed one year. During this year I will attend a major conference in the Czech Republic and conduct a research trip to Ireland, where I will also join a conference and conduct fieldwork. If possible a final research trip to Thailand will allow me to complete my data-gathering research.
