| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to clarify the development process of instrumental music education in post-war Japan, focusing on Kyoto city during the post-war reform period.During the research period, it was difficult to collect materials from schools due to the coronavirus pandemic.Therefore, from the middle of the research period, only materials related to educational administration were collected.Specifically, by analyzing the minutes of the board of education, this research clarified the recruitment process of instrumental music instructors who play a central role in instrumental music education.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究では戦後改革期の京都市教育委員会資料を収集・分析した。具体的には1949(昭和24)年から1950(昭和25)年にかけての「教育委員会書類」であり秘書室長により教育委員会議事案・会議資料等を収集することができた。この資料の分析によって京都市における教育用楽器の購入の検討時期や内容がこれまでより具体的に明らかになった。当然ながらこの成果は京都における音楽教育の実態解明のためにも重要な意義をもつものである。なお、当該資料は音楽教育史のみならず、戦後改革期の京都の教育の状況を示す内容を含むものであって、この資料の内容分析の研究的意義は大きいものである。
