Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The progress has been rather smooth as one teachers' seminar was conducted in 2019. The second teachers' seminar was supposed to be conducted in March 2020 in Hiroshima in collaboration with professors from National Taiwan Normal University. But due to the coronavirus infection situation in the world, the planned seminar was cancelled and postponed. Nonetheless, a conference paper submitted in Dec 2019 is accepted for proceedings publication and conference presentation in the Design Research Society 2020 conference. In 2020, the final year of the research, the initial planned schedule has been affected by the coronavirus infection and planned events and research visits cannot be carried out at the moment. Further adjustments are being planned at the moment.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In the academic year of 2020, as major research field trips and seminars cannot be conducted at the moment, the major focus will fall on organising existing data collected from previous field research and data analysis. Research outputs, such as conference papers, conference presentations and journal papers will be produced.

Causes of Carryover |
Due to effect of coronavirus infection situation, a teachers' seminar to be organised and conducted by PI in March 2020 was cancelled. Some of the fund was not used. Thus, PI hopes the remaining fund can be used in the next fiscal year.
