Outline of Annual Research Achievements

Navier-Stokes (NS)方程式をモデルを使わずに時間発展させる直接数値計算(DNS)には膨大な計算時間がかかるため,設計の試行錯誤の為には,乱流モデルの適用は必要不可欠である.今後は,乱流の大スケール運動のみを計算し,小スケール運動はモデル化するラージ・エディ・シミュレーション(Large-Eddy Simulation,LES)という手法が,多くの設計現場でも使われるようになると考えられ,その高速化・高精度化は流体工学において重要な課題である.格子に依存せず,局所的に乱流と層流が混在する剥離流れなどにも適用可能な新たなLES渦粘性モデルの構築が必要である.本研究では,LESの支配方程式(フィルターをかけたNS方程式)の不変解に基づき,乱流モデルの本質の理解とモデルの予測性能の向上を目指す.このような不変解は,数値的に求めることができ,層流と乱流の亜臨界遷移現象に大きな役割を果たすことが知られている.はじめに,一様せん断乱流中のLES不変解をニュートン・クリロフ法および弧長法を用いて追跡し,NS方程式の解への接続を試みた.渦粘性を完全に取り除くことはできなかったが,解の追跡の過程で,LES定常解が存在できない計算領域アスペクト比において,不安定周期解を求めることに成功した.これらの解の存在がLES乱流が維持生成できる理論的な背景を有しており,Navier-Stokes乱流との類似性が力学系理論の面からも明らかになった.また,NS方程式におけるクエット流れの不変解をできる限り高レイノルズ数まで追跡し,平面クエット流れの定常解が一様せん断流のLES解と類似していることを明らかにした.DNSの壁乱流の厳密解とLESの不変解を比較検討することで,LESの壁面モデルの開発指針への重要な知見となる.
