Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This research investigates new computing approaches to deal with the demand of Big Data generated from IoT technology using superconductor electronics. In this final year of this three year project, we focused on scaling our underlying technology so that we can build upon it for future research of more functionally-rich computing architectures. We published 4 papers (1 invited), and made 7 presentations at international conferences (1 invited). Our key result this year is the demonstration of the world’s first adiabatic superconductor microprocessor (DOI: 10.1109/JSSC.2020.3041338) with extremely low power consumption. Our research has been featured in both international and domestic magazines including IEEE Spectrum, Superconductor Week, and Nikkei XTECH/Nikkei Electronics.
