| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
まず、臨床研究1.加齢と生活習慣病が脳に及ぼす影響の臨床研究に関する成果について、2018年7月に米国・シカゴで開催されたAlzheimer's Association International Conference 2018において学会発表「Suzuki H et al. Relative impacts of aging and modifiable risk factors for dementia on brain volumes in the UK Biobank cohort」を行い、主要な結果について現在論文執筆中である。
次に、臨床研究２.脳の老化に関する新たな修正可能因子の探索については、2018年8月にドイツ・ミュンヘンで開催されたEuropean Society of Cardiology Congress 2018において学会発表「Suzuki H et al. Heart rate as a novel risk factor for brain health」を行い、当年度のYoung Investigator Award(population Sciences)を受賞した。こちらも現在主要な結果について論文執筆中である。
最後に、動物実験．加齢と生活習慣病が脳に及ぼす影響に関する機序の研究については、既に興味深い知見が得られており、来年度報告までには研究成果についての発表を目指したいと考えている。
なお、2018年度における発表論文として、1本の第一著者論文(Suzuki H et al. Structural brain abnormalities and cardiac dysfunction in patients with chronic heart failure. European Journal of Heart Failure 2018;20:936-938)に加え、1本の第二著者論文（Bai W, Suzuki H et al. Recurrent neural networks for aortic image sequence segmentation with sparce annotation. Medical image computing and computer-assisted intervention 2018;11073:586-594）を含む計7本の論文が採択された。

まず、臨床研究1.加齢と生活習慣病が脳に及ぼす影響の臨床研究に関する進捗状況については、大枠について既に海外学会での発表を行い、現在論文執筆中であり、(2) おおむね順調に進展していると思われる。次に、臨床研究２.脳の老化に関する新たな修正可能因子の探索に関する進捗状況については、こちらも大枠について既に海外学会での発表を行い、その研究成果については学会賞の受賞に至っており、(1) 当初の計画以上に進展していると考えている。最後、動物実験．加齢と生活習慣病が脳に及ぼす影響に関する機序の研究に関する進捗状況については、既に興味深い研究結果が得られているものの、発表までにはまだ多くの追加実験を要するものと思われ、(2) おおむね順調に進展している、もしくは(3) やや遅れている、と考えている。
以上から、現在までの全体の研究進捗状況として、(2) おおむね順調に進展している、と判断した。

まず、臨床研究1.加齢と生活習慣病が脳に及ぼす影響の臨床研究、及び、臨床研究２.脳の老化に関する新たな修正可能因子の探索については、どちらも学会発表を済ませており、早急な論文採択に至るよう執筆作業に集中する。そして、動物実験．加齢と生活習慣病が脳に及ぼす影響に関する機序の研究については、追加実験を行い次年度中の学会発表を目指す。

| Causes of Carryover |
物品購入にあたり、動物実験．加齢と生活習慣病が脳に及ぼす影響に関する機序の研究についての支出を予定より抑えることが出来たため、繰越金が発生した。学会発表という目的を達成するため、次年度に繰越金と併せて物品購入・旅費等を執行する予定である。
