| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the past year, we have examined the role of HFD on lung stem cells in a mouse model of fibrosis. We found that HFD slows down the resolution of fibrosis/inflammation, and delays alveolar repair, by slowing the contribution of AT2 stem cells, and abolishing the contribution of BASCs, in the repair process. The mechanism of this delay seems to involve activation of FAO.
