Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein M (HNRNPM) is a splicing factor that plays an important role in the regulation of gene expression by processing heterogeneous nuclear RNAs into mature mRNAs. HNRNPM was highly expressed in pancreatic tissues but expression decreased in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissues. Furthermore in this study, we found that knockdown of HNRNPM protein expression under low-glucose conditions altered glucose metabolism and prolonged cell survival by suppressing glucose consumption.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
