Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The proposed research project is a facility-based cluster-randomized trial and intends to assess the impact of mobile phone short message service (SMS) intervention on antenatal care among pregnant women in Bangladesh. The main aim of this project is to assesses the effect of crossing technological advances with medicine, and explores how this impacts the service environment, health outcomes, and individual norms or acceptability in society.
In the year 2018, I developed research protocol for ethical approval, visited several hospital and clinics in Bangladesh to fix mHealth study area. I identified potential collaborators to implement the survey in Bangladesh. I completed pilot tested among 40 pregnant women, they showed very much interest to join mHealth project. Ethical application form submitted to Bangladesh. Hopefully I could received the permissibly middle of this year.
