Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This is a prospective facility based mobile phone intervention program and the study will assess the changes in access to ANC, and attitude toward institutional delivery, and practices with regard to intervention in case and control groups. The estimated sample was 1800 women. We made several progress on my mHelath project: developed protocol, received ethical clearance from Bangladesh medical and Research Council (BMRC), performed pilot test, and revised questionnaire based on pilot test results. In the phases of participants selection, I already completed 20,000 household census listing to identified eligible pregnant women. From the census listing, I final sample was 1400 pregnant women. As comparted to control group, the text messages had limited effect on the use of ANC visits and facility delivery. The findings will be published in international journal and presented in conference.
