Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we focused on quality of nursing care in the long-term care setting where people live their end-of-life in the aging society. We obtained three findings using nationwide large sample administrative data:1) home deaths were fewer prevalent in municipalities with greater long-term care resources; 2) long-term care facilities without physical restraint use were more likely to having a manual for physical restraint; and 3) adverse events are more likely to occur in older adults with dementia than in those without dementia after hip surgery.
