Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, T2 weighted magnetic resonance imagings were used to clarify level of the lower extremity muscles during sprinting, to determine the muscles that are important for sprinting, and to examine the differences in muscle activity level between areas and between exercises for each resistance training muscle and within the same muscle. In addition, the effects of resistance training on the morphological and mechanical characteristics of muscles and sprint performance were investigated. It was shown that identifying the muscles that contribute to sprinting and training to stimulate these muscles accurately can improve performance.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
