Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The first phase of the research has been completed, which includes a systematic literature review, international Delphi study, and environmental audit of Olympic venues. So far, one publication has been accepted by the European Journal of Sport Science, and I have presented preliminary research at the European College of Sport Science conference in Dublin, Ireland. The second phase of the Kakenhi study is underway from 2019. At present, I am conducting a population baseline survey of health and physical activity data with middle-aged and older Japanese.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I have been able to meet all of my objectives for data collection and research outputs so far. I anticipate the collection of all project data by the end of May 2019.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Future work for this project will include the completion of a national population survey of the health and physical activity of middle aged and older Japanese adults. This is scheduled for completion by the end of May, 2019.
Following data collection, I will present early findings at the conference for the International Association for the Philosophy of Sport in Kyoto during September. I will also develop a further suite of 2-3 manuscripts for submission to relevant sport science journals by the end of this year.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Projected costs were slightly lower than expected and activities from phase one were carried over into phase two because of timing issues at the end of the financial year.
