| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
軽元素は電子数が少ないため、回折やXAFSで原子構造を得ることは難しく、現在、物質の原子配列の研究で最も大きな課題である。ホログラフィー法は、特定元素のまわりの局所構造を、特定のモデルなしに3次元原子イメージとして描き出す。本研究では、ホログラフィー法を軟X線や真空紫外線に検出領域を広げ、軽元素のまわりの3次元局所原子イメージを構築する。この研究により、Li電池、GaN半導体など軽元素を含む機能性材料を対象として、軽元素のまわりのクラスター形成や格子ひずみなど、材料の3次元的な特徴を描き出し、物性との関連を詳しく明らかにする。
平成30年度には、別予算により真空容器を整備するとともに、検出系の具体的な考案、設計を行っている。完成次第、装置を九州シンクロトロン光研究センターへ持ち込み、動作テストを行う。購入する予定であった湾曲反射鏡は整備方針の都合により、令和元年度以降に延期する。

平成30年度には、別予算により真空容器を整備するとともに、検出系の具体的な考案、設計を行っている。完成次第、装置を九州シンクロトロン光研究センターへ持ち込み、動作テストを行う。装置の完成には自作を積み重ねながら小さなテストを繰り返す必要があるが、その過程は順調に推移している。

令和元年度には検出系の具体的な整備を行い、放射光源を用いた動作テストを行う。湾曲反射鏡はまず、別の研究者から貸与いただき動作テスト行った後、適切な性能のものを購入する。

開発計画の経緯で、湾曲反射鏡の購入を次年度以降に延期した。
