Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We screened each mutant which produced methane or butanol, from hyper lignin degrading fungus Phanerochaete sordida YK-624. Although no butanol-producing mutant was detected, methane-producing mutant was isolated. In order to analyze the mutation site of the genome DNA, whole genome sequence was carried out by MiSeq. We could not determine the mutation site since the cell of P. sordida YK-624 was coenocyte and the mutation was occurred in only a certain nucleus.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
