Outline of Annual Research Achievements

アルコール依存症患者における易感染性に関わる自然免疫の担当細胞であるM2b単球は、GAS5遺伝子発現が低下し、CCL1の産生が亢進することにより患者に長期に渡り留まる。その結果宿主の感染抵抗性に働くM1単球の出現を抑制し続ける。それらの細胞にGAS5遺伝子を発現させることができればCCL1の産生が抑制され、結果的にM2b単球がそれらの宿主において消失するのではないかと考えている。現在GAS5遺伝子を目的細胞に発現させるレンチウイルスの作成を行なっている。

コロナのため海外共同研究先への渡航が1年ほどずれ込んだため、その後の研究も全て遅れている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

GAS5遺伝子をもつLentiviral vectorの作成を渡航先にておこなったが、あらためて日本にて使用可能なアイテムを用いて同様のLentivarla vectorを作成する必要があり、現在そちらに取り掛かっている。
