Research Abstract

平成20年10月に第4回国際アイソトポマー会議(ISI 2008)を東京で開催した。全ての研究代表者および研究分担者は主宰、セッションチェアーなど主催者として組織するとともに、当研究チーム全体では30件ほどの口頭発表あるいはポスター発表を行い、14カ国120人強の出席した国内外の研究者とフィールドや培養実験でのアイソトポマー分別、存在度について、情報交換を行った。これまでの同位体・アイソトポマー研究の歴史についてレビューし、それらを基に今後アイソトポマー研究を発展させるための基礎となる学問分野体系化の提案を行った。また、“アイソトポマー"の定義に関する議論を行い、より広義での使用を提言した。また、近年急速な発展が見込まれるアイソトポマー研究の一つの要素である、質量非依存同位体分別(Mass Independent Fractionation:MIF)と分子内同位体分布、二重同位体置換化学種について、申請者が行った研究結果を紹介した。この研究の詳細については共同研究者が本会議で発表を行った。実施者は本発表を含め30件の共著論文を本会議で報告した。会議は会期中にはExtended abstractを配布した。会議初日までに予定通り、持参されたものと、後日督促したものを合わせて、編集し、292ページに及ぶProceedingsとして別予算で出版し、出席者に配送した。今回の会議では、本研究の成果について国際発信する絶好の機会となった。国内外の第一線の研究者が集まり、現在の最先端の研究情報を共有し、今後の展開に向けて議論する場として大いに機能した。本研究で目指す方向性とその到達度の確認を行った。
