| Research Abstract |
微生物が保有するインテグロン・ジーンカセット(IGC)部位に着目し、多種多様な微生物が混在する環境微生物試料を対象とした効率的な機能遺伝子探索手法(IGCメタゲノム解析手法)として確立するための基盤整備を行う。これまで全く未解明な極限環境試料や汚染環境試料等を対象とし、このIGCシステムの普遍性や特徴、見出された機能遺伝子の特徴や生息環境との関連性、発現産物の特徴や有用性等の解明を通し、本手法の有効性や得られた結果の科学的意義、応用の可能性等について評価する。
