Research Abstract |
New ion-transporting nanomaterials have been developed by employing the properties of liquid crystals that combine fluidity and crystal-like ordered structures. These materials have potential application as electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries. The organic synthesis of molecules designed by considering molecular shape and intermolecular interactions has enabled the construction of functional liquid-crystalline materials forming nanoion-channel structures
