Research Abstract

本研究課題の目的は、魚類の中で最大のグループであり、かつ、種数において脊椎動物の半数近くを占める条鰭類を研究対象とし、この巨大な生物群が、地球上でどのようなプロセスを経て多様化してきたかを解明することを目的とする。この目的を達成するため、まず、条鰭類全体から偏りなく魚種を選定し、ミトコンドリアゲノム全長配列を決定する。そして、そのデータに基づいて網羅的大規模系統樹を構築し、その樹形情報から条鰭類多様化の歴史的パターンを解明する計画である。
