Research Abstract |
We identified approx. 800 genes responsive to reactive oxygen species (ROS) derived from chloroplasts. We found that two novel genes, named PSI1 and PSS8, are important for plant response to oxidative stress via ROS. Furthermore, the analysis of the expression of heat shock transcription factor A2 (HsfA2), a key regulator for stress response, under environmental stress indicated that HsfA1d and HsfA1e regulate HsfA2 expression in response to environmental stress.
