Research Abstract

昨年に引き続き乾燥処理を継続する方針であったが、2010年3月ころより、森林全体で一斉開花が凝り始めたため、急遽、予定を変更し、昨年まで実験対象であった林冠木を6個体を中心に、その生理状態や開花状況を継続してモニタリングすることにした。そのことにより、昨年までの実験状態での結果と自然状態での結果を比較することが可能となった。観測を行った項目は以下のとおりである。
(1)調査対象木の周辺で、降水遮断前後の林床に達する降水量。
(2)樹木の各部位における栄養塩および炭水化物濃度。
(3)土壌水分、蒸散速度、水ポテンシャル、樹幹流速。
(4)展葉にともなう食葉性昆虫。
(5)落葉量、土壌水分、分解速度。
結果的には、この年の一斉開花は10年に一度ともいえる大規模なものであり、多くの樹木が開花した。実験による生理状態の推移は、自然状態のものとおおむね同じであった。
