Research Abstract

多くの神経回路において個々の神経細胞は単一の量を符号化していると通常仮定されている。脊椎動物網膜の神経節細胞は光入力に応じてバースト発火をする。申請者は、これらのバースト発火が、さまざまな光入力に特異的なミリ秒スケールの多様な時間パターンを持つ可能性を示唆する結果を得ている。この可能性を検討することにより、局所神経回路の動作原理の解明への貢献を目指す。
