Research Abstract

老化により脳βアミロイド沈着からニューロンネットワークが崩壊してAlzheimer病発症に至る仕組みが、徐々に解明されている。その結果、Alzheimer病の成因に基づく治療法が射程に入る時代を迎え、治療に結びつく研究が社会から強く望まれている。そこで、本研究では、これまで25年に亘って培ってきた神経病理学的手法を用いた研究により、脳βアミロイド沈着を防いでAlzheimer病の発症・進行を阻止する治療法の開発を行う。
