Research Abstract |
This study longitudinally examined the relations among mother's representation of her"imaginary baby" in pregnancy, her later parenting behaviors to her"actual baby" after childbirth, and her infant's socio-emotional development. As a result, maternal narrative on her imaginary baby significantly predicted her sensitivity emotional tone in mother-infant interaction when her infant was 2 and 6 months old, and her infant's attachment security when her infant was 18 months old.
