Research Abstract

超弦理論は、時空構造に付いて新たな視点を提供する。超弦理論は、最小長さの導入により、場の揺らぎによる紫外発散を含まないが、この事実は時空自体が最小単位から構成されている事を強く示唆する。弦理論が紫外発散を含まない理論である事を明白に示す定式化として行列模型は魅力的であり、時空と物質を行列自由度から導出する可能性を与える。本研究は、弦理論の基本的な定式化から、行列模型を用いた時空・物質の導出機構に関する研究を推進する。
