Research Abstract

短寿命不安定原子核の電荷分布を世界で初めて測定できる方法として、電子蓄積リングにおけるイオントラッピング現象を利用したSCRIT法を発明した。SCRITの原理実証を行うためプロトタイプを京都大学化学研究所の電子蓄積リングKSRに挿入して実験を行ってきた。その結果、わずか100万個のCs原子核を標的とした電子弾性散乱を起こさせ、その散乱断面積の測定に成功した。これによって数量の限られた短寿命不安定核の電子散乱実験法が確立した。
