Research Abstract |
High energy ions generated by electric propulsions fly in space gyrating along the geomagnetic lines and collide with atmospheric neutral particles and then are converted to energetic neural atoms. Observing satellites detect the energetic neural atoms and enable to analyze information on neutral gas density and distribution. We have found avalanche photo diode sensible to keV heavy particles like Xe, Kr and Ar.
