| Research Abstract |
高度好塩菌の光駆動プロトン輸送体(バクテリオロドプシン、アーキロドプシン)、光駆動塩素イオン輸送体(ハロロドプシン)、無脊椎動物系の視物質(イカロドプシン)など、異なる機能を有するロドプシン群蛋白質(=7 回膜貫通型レチナール結合蛋白質)を研究対象とし、それらの立体構造ならびに光誘起構造変化を調べ、ロドプシン群蛋白質の機能発現に必須な構造モチーフについての構造学的情報を得ることを目標として研究を展開した。
