Research Abstract

本研究の目的は、(1)これまでに我々が開発した昆虫ディフェンシン由来の改変ペプチドが真核生物であるトリパノソーマに対しては、如何なる作用機構で効果を示すのかを明らかにすることにより、新たな抗トリパノソーマ薬剤の開発のための基礎的知見とする。(2)タイワンカブトムシの体液中に存在する抗トリパノソーマ活性物質を単離し、構造を決定する。また、カイコ等の他の昆虫からスクリーニングを行い、新たな抗トリパノソーマ活性物質を探索し、構造決定を行う。以上のことから、画期的なトリパノソーマ感染症に対する新規薬剤開発のための基盤を築くことである。
