| Research Abstract |
植物による金属汚染土壌の修復は、ファイトレメディエーションの主要課題の一つである。植物の金属結合ペプチドは、ファイトレメディエーションにおける有用なツールと目されている。これまで、植物金属結合ペプチド研究は、ファイトキレーチンやメタロチオネインなどのSH型金属結合ペプチドを対象に行われてきた。本研究では、非SH金属結合ペプチドという新しいカテゴリーを提唱し、特に、ヒスチジンを豊富に含む金属結合ペプチドの発見と化学生物学的な機能の解明を目指した。
