Research Abstract

研究成果の概要 : 硫酸化グリコサミノグリカンと呼ばれる糖鎖は、タンパク質と共有結合をしたプロテオグリカンと呼ばれる形で、ほとんど全ての細胞表面や細胞と細胞との間隙に存在している。最近、ヒトの癌や遺伝病の原因として硫酸化グリコサミノグリカン鎖の合成異常の実例が多く示されている。本研究では、硫酸化グリコサミノグリカン鎖がどのように合成され、どのようにその機能を発揮するのか、またその合成がうまくできないとなぜ異常が生じるかを細胞レベル解析し、その一例を示した。
