Research Abstract |
The molecular mechanism of tumor-induced bone destruction was investigated in this study. In tumor-induced bone destruction, tumora-associated macropahges (TAM) play major roles as a cell factor. As soluble factors, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) are found to be critical in the tumor-induced bone destruction. Together, TAM, VEGF, and bFGF would be promising molecular targets for treating the tumor-induced bone destruction.
