| Research Abstract |
A群レンサ球菌は, 劇症型等の侵襲性疾患を引き起こすことが知られている. 劇症型患者の感染組織では, 好中球の浸潤ならびに貪食能が極度に低下し, A群レンサ球菌の活発な増殖が認められる.そこで, 好中球の貪食と遊走に主要な役割を演じる補体C3b およびC5a が, A群レンサ球菌に分解を受けるのではないかと仮説を立てて研究を推進した.その結果, A群レンサ球菌のSpeB はC3b を分解し, ScpA はGAPDH と協調してC5a を分解することで免疫回避を行い, その後の組織内増殖を可能にしていることが示唆された
