Research Abstract

骨を壊す細胞である破骨細胞の働きが過剰になると、骨粗鬆症などの疾患が生じる。本研究では、(1)破骨細胞からトランスサイトーシス経路によりL-グルタミン酸が分泌される、(2)その過程にカルシウム及びカルシウム依存性プロテインキナーゼが関与する、(3)L-グルタミン酸により骨吸収が抑制される、(4)破骨細胞からL-グルタミン酸が分泌されないマウスでは骨吸収が亢進し、骨量が減少する、ということを明らかにした。
