Research Abstract |
Reindeer Herding Culture in the Far Northern Regions of Russia, after the breakup of Soviet Union has changed with the variation inside each regions and ethnic cultures. The Carriers of this Culture are the Small numbered indigenous peoples of the North. We, the project researchers, have accomplished the participant observation from the aspect of the economical and social structure changes, environmental changes, and cultural reconstruction. The main result is that the Reindeer herding Culture functions well as one of ethnic cultures which adapts resiliently in the various phenomena.
