| Research Abstract |
Keap1/Nrf2システムはニューロンにおいて、酸化ストレスに反応して、抗酸化酵素群を誘導する。この防御機構は、酸化ストレス条件下では、ニューロンの生存を決めると申請者は仮説を立てた。この仮説を、Keap1のノックアウトマスを用いて直接証明した。すなわちKeap1は脳保護剤のターゲットとして最適であることを証明した。
