Research Abstract

近年のヒト脳機能イメージング研究から、自分の身体筋骨格系に由来する感覚情報処理には体性感覚野のみならず頭頂葉ひいては身体視覚領野が関与することが明らかになりつつある。研究代表者のチームは、人間の手の動き知覚における視覚情報と運動感覚情報との統合に関する頭頂葉機能を明らかにし、視覚障害者の視覚野が純粋な運動感覚情報の処理に関与していることを明らかにし、人間の脳における自己身体像表現の可塑性を浮き彫りにした。
