| Research Abstract |
家族性傍神経腫(パラガングリオーマ)の患者のミトコンドリア内電子伝達系複合体II のサブユニットであるSDHCやSDHD遺伝子に変異が見つかっている。SDHC遺伝子に変異を持つ線虫や培養細胞はミトコンドリアから活性酸素を過剰発生させることから、この遺伝子に点変異を持つtransgenicなマウスを作成し、活性酸素をガンの関係を調べた。その結果、このマウスにガンの発生は見られなかったものの、多臓器において過剰な細胞死が観察された。
