| Research Abstract |
強力な重金属耐性を有することを見出した糸状体ラン藻における重金属イオンの新規なトキシコロジー並びに耐性機構について研究した。本ラン藻は1価(銅、銀)及び2価(カドミウム、亜鉛)の重金属イオンに暴露されるとリプレッサーを介して重金属輸送及び重金属結合タンパク質が発現するが、そのメカニズムを明らかにした。また銅や銀のような重金属イオンに暴露されると生じる活性酸素とその抑制機構について明らかにした。
