| Research Abstract |
W.ボンドの宗教書『完全無欠の道』( Pylgrimage of Perfection)にはR.ピンソン版(1526 年)とW.ド・ウォードの改訂版(1531 年)がある。本来サイオン・アベイの修道女向けに書かれた書物が、序文の改訂、木版画の挿入、本文の布置等に改訂が施され、著者と印刷家の協同のもとに読者(顧客)の拡大と一般化が図られたことを解明した。実用書やロマンス作品に平行して、宗教書ジャンルにおける著者と印刷家との協同出版戦略誕生の事例発見は、同じ著者によるDirectory of Conscience (1527 ; 1534)に先立つものと位置づけられる。
