Research Abstract

言語は話者の思考過程に影響を及ぼすと仮定し、英語を習得した日本人バイリンガルの認知レベルに第二言語がもたらす影響が見られるか調査した。具体的な活動内容として、Imai and Gentner(1997)とCook, Bassetti, Kasai, Sasaki, & Takahashi(2006)が用いた『形と材質』の心理実験を用い、第二言語として習得した英語が日本人の思考過程に影響を及ぼすことを立証した。また、心理実験の傾向を再検証するために磁気共鳴画像(fMRI)を用い実験中の脳血流を調査した。
