| Research Abstract |
イスラームを説き起こした預言者ムハンマドの歴史的実像は必ずしも明らかではない。本研究は、ムハンマドの生涯を伝えたもっとも古い記録であるイブン・イスハークの『預言者伝』の全体を邦訳し、それを他の歴史資料とつきあわせて、多分に奇跡物語を含んだ歴史資料の全体像を提示することを目的とした。研究成果は、上記のムハンマド伝の、詳細な注を付した邦訳を4巻本として、2002年度から順次公刊することによって示される。
