| Research Abstract |
パプア・ニューギニアのイーストケープ地方で家庭的土器生産に関する民族誌調査を実施し、土器型式が集団内で分有され世代間に継承されるメカニズムと、それが一定の地理的範囲に分布する要因を調査した。縄文土器の型式と分布に直接関わるテーマで、単系出自社会であること、婚姻とトーテムなどの親族構造と係わることを解明した。比較のために千葉県印旛村の戸ノ内貝塚を調査し、姥山II式とその分布の実態を比較した。
